Description
As a Production Associate at Premier Packaging, you will play a crucial role in the packaging process. You will be responsible for ensuring products are correctly packed, labeled, and prepared for shipment. Shift Times:
A: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (Monday - Friday) $17.00 /hour Starting Pay
B: 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM (Monday - Friday) $18.00 /hour Starting Pay
C: 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM (Sunday Night - Friday Morning) $18.00 /hour Starting Pay
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Packaging: Assemble and prepare packaging materials, pack products according to company standards, and ensure they are securely sealed.
- Quality Control: Inspect products for defects or damages before packaging, ensuring that only high-quality products are sent out.
- Labeling: Accurately label packages with necessary information, including product details, shipping addresses, and barcodes.
- Inventory Management: Assist in tracking inventory levels of packaging materials and report any shortages to the supervisor.
- Equipment Operation: Operate packaging machinery safely and efficiently, following all safety guidelines and procedures.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of packaged products and completed orders.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines.
- Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all safety and sanitation regulations.
- Other duties as assigned.
This is a fast-paced production facility, you should expect to stand and walk for extended periods. Additionally, you will be exposed to packaging materials and machinery noise. Adherence to safety protocols is the top priority.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- No prior experience is required; on-the-job training will be provided.
- A basic understanding of the packaging process and machinery is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to compute basic numeric calculations as well as functional reading and writing skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Continuous standing for extended periods when carrying out responsibilities.
- Lifting up to 35 pounds unassisted
- Pulling and/or pushing an exerted force up to 50 pounds with material handling equipment.
- Bending, squatting, or kneeling to reach and work with equipment on both ground and machine level.
- Reaching above shoulder level to reach overhead supplies.
- Continuous use of hands in repetitive tasks such as grasping, twisting and turning of wrists; finger dexterity to perform various duties with tools required.
- Continuous speaking and listening for interactions with supervisors and coworkers.
- Color determination without color blindness.
- Continuous clarity of vision for machine operating purposes.
