Sales Manager – Proprietary Brands

Hours/Week: Full-Time, 40 hours/week

Location: Onsite in Export PA or Las Vegas NV; Open to remote in other states

Salary: $60,000-$70,000 DOE base salary with up to $90,000/year with bonus and incentives


Job Purpose:

The Proprietary Brands Sales Manager is a key member of the sales & operations team within Proprietary Brands. This position focuses on assuring the overall team is aligned with achieving the annual revenue plan. As both an active contributor and team leader, the Sales Manager will guide and support the team in driving growth, executing sales strategies, and maintaining exceptional customer service. This role does require acquiring new sales accounts and is responsible for managing the team’s efforts in supporting existing accounts, preparing sales/forecast reports, managing customer contacts, and implementing best practice processes across multiple brands. The Sales Manager will collaborate closely with internal teams and report directly to the Vice President of Proprietary Brands.


Where you’ll spend your time:

  • Developing sales promotion strategies for all private branded products and actively working with internal and external customers to implement and track success.
  • Setting MAP pricing and maintaining pricing files for all brands, ensuring pricing policies are upheld in the marketplace.
  • Analyzing sales data to generate daily reports and weekly forecasts by brand to assist in operational planning.
  • Tracking, analyzing, and reporting trends of sales by SKU to drive strategic decisions.
  • Preparing sales input for the annual business plan.
  • Leading the creation and execution of a formal customer service training document, ensuring best practices are followed.
  • Leading the development of a customer/tech service team to support various brands and platforms. Ensuring the team delivers industry-leading customer experiences in product availability, shipping, and addressing customer inquiries.
  • Staying informed on industry trends, products, services, competitors, emerging technologies, and product-line developments.
  • Setting retail and wholesale strategies based on sales trends and collaborating with internal teams to implement these strategies.
  • Leading the execution of annual price increases per brand.
  • Communicating and presenting to corporate management, local management, and employees.
  • Representing the sales side of the business during stage-gate reviews for new products.


You have / possess:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or technical field and 5 years of work-related experience in the automotive aftermarket industry, preferably in an enthusiast-based company.
  • 3 years of leadership experience, with a demonstrated ability to lead and actively contribute to team success.
  • Knowledge of vehicles, including product, technical, or mechanical knowledge, preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills with a proactive and hands-on approach to problem-solving.
  • Technically savvy with high proficiency in utilizing the MS Office suite: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.

Your work environment:

  • Requires extended periods at desk and occasional travel by air .
  • Requires contact with others via face-to-face, telephone, or email.
  • Fast-paced work environment with exposure to sounds and noise levels that can be distracting.
  • Requires lifting to 30 lbs., working indoors in environmentally controlled conditions, with exposure to warehouse and shop environments.
  • Ability to travel 3-5 days per month on average.
  • Ability to read and speak English.
