Summary:
The Rehabilitation Technician (Rehab Tech) assists physical therapists in the delivery of patient care by performing a variety of non-clinical tasks. This role is crucial in supporting the overall operations of the outpatient physical therapy clinic, ensuring a clean and safe environment, and providing excellent patient service.
Detailed Responsibilities:
- Assist physical therapists in setting up and preparing for patient treatments.
- Maintain a clean and organized clinic environment, including cleaning treatment areas, equipment and patient bathrooms when inconveniences arise.
- Assist with patient transportation within the clinic as needed.
- Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and handling phone calls.
- Monitor and restock supplies and equipment in the clinic.
- Ensure compliance with clinic policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Provide general support to patients, ensuring their comfort and safety during treatments.
- Assist in maintaining the clinic’s overall efficiency and workflow.
- Support the physical therapy team with any additional tasks as needed.

Requirements:
Required Education and Skills/Abilities:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology is a plus.
- CPR certification preferred.
Physical Requirements: include but are not limited to the ability to perform the following activities:
- Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
- Frequent bending, stooping, and reaching.
