Summary:

The Rehabilitation Technician (Rehab Tech) assists physical therapists in the delivery of patient care by performing a variety of non-clinical tasks. This role is crucial in supporting the overall operations of the outpatient physical therapy clinic, ensuring a clean and safe environment, and providing excellent patient service.

Detailed Responsibilities:

  • Assist physical therapists in setting up and preparing for patient treatments.
  • Maintain a clean and organized clinic environment, including cleaning treatment areas, equipment and patient bathrooms when inconveniences arise.
  • Assist with patient transportation within the clinic as needed.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and handling phone calls.
  • Monitor and restock supplies and equipment in the clinic.
  • Ensure compliance with clinic policies, procedures, and safety standards.
  • Provide general support to patients, ensuring their comfort and safety during treatments.
  • Assist in maintaining the clinic’s overall efficiency and workflow.
  • Support the physical therapy team with any additional tasks as needed.

Requirements:


Required Education and Skills/Abilities:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology is a plus.
  • CPR certification preferred.

Physical Requirements: include but are not limited to the ability to perform the following activities:

  • Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
  • Frequent bending, stooping, and reaching.
