Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner

Job Description:

At Premier Physician Services, LLC, we are seeking experienced Emergency Medicine Advanced Practice Providers to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct patient assessments, including history-taking, physical exams, and ordering diagnostic tests.
• Diagnose and manage acute illnesses, injuries, and medical emergencies.
• Develop and implement treatment plans, including prescribing medications and performing procedures within scope of practice.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
• Perform emergency procedures such as suturing, splinting, and wound care as needed.
• Provide patient education and discharge instructions.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care.
• Adhere to hospital policies and state regulations governing advanced practice roles.

Requirements:

• Master's degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP), or Physician Assistant (PA-C).
• Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in the state of Florida.
• DEA license and ability to prescribe medications.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in emergency medicine.
• Proficiency in emergency procedures such as suturing, incision and drainage, and splinting.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
• Preferred: ATLS.
• Strong clinical decision-making and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for patient and team interactions.

Work Environment:

• Locations: Marathon and Tavernier, FL.
• Schedule: 12pm-8pm, 12-hour shifts/month including 2 weekends OR part-time 6-12 hour shifts/month including 1 weekend.
• Volume: 10-12K patients per month.
• EMR: Cerner with Dragon.
