Premier Physician Services, LLC is seeking experienced Emergency Medicine Advanced Practice Providers to work in a fast-paced hospital ER environment. This direct hire position requires a team of highly skilled professionals who can treat patients effectively.
Job Summary
In this role, you will conduct patient assessments, including history-taking and physical exams, and diagnose and manage acute illnesses, injuries, and medical emergencies. You will also develop and implement treatment plans, prescribe medications, and perform procedures within your scope of practice. Additionally, you will collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care, provide patient education and discharge instructions, and maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct patient assessments, including history-taking and physical exams.
- Diagnose and manage acute illnesses, injuries, and medical emergencies.
- Develop and implement treatment plans, including prescribing medications and performing procedures within scope of practice.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
- Perform emergency procedures such as suturing, splinting, and wound care as needed.
- Provide patient education and discharge instructions.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care.
Requirements:
- Master's degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
- Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP), or Physician Assistant (PA-C).
- Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in the state of Philadelphia.
- DEA license and ability to prescribe medications.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in emergency medicine.
- Proficiency in emergency procedures such as suturing, incision and drainage, and splinting.
- Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
- Preferred: ATLS.
- Strong clinical decision-making and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for patient and team interactions.
Schedule and Location
This position requires working Monday through Friday from 11am to 11pm and Saturday and Sunday from 1pm to 9pm in Bristol, PA.
You will have access to Epic EMR system and will be expected to maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care.
