Spring/Summer Retail Sales Associate

We are looking for a self-motivated Retail Sales Associate. They will work in a team setting with new and existing customers. They will test customer water and provide recommendations based on the results, help find the appropriate pool and spa products needed, and check out customers. Additional duties include answering phone calls, general cleaning, stocking, and providing a welcoming store atmosphere.

Some additional duties may include pulling and shipping orders, making inventory, website, or social media updates, and checking in and putting away incoming packages.

Applicants with a love for an always-changing environment and who have true comfort interacting with people will excel. This is an entry level job with on-the-job training, so pool industry experience is not required.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Provide information and conduct sales on pool & hot tub chemicals, equipment, and backyard products.
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent retail service.
• Answer customer queries quickly, be they in-person or via phone, email or text.
• Become knowledgeable on all products offered and discuss available options with clients.
• Perform water chemistry analysis and give customers direction on chemical needs.
• Process POS (point of sale) purchases and returns.
• Help maintain a clean and presentable retail store.
• Process customer shipments.
• Invoice orders, process/receive payments.
• Checking in and putting away incoming merchandise.

Additional Duties May or May Not Include

• As a small company, we have several part time job opportunities that could be integrated within your position if desired. Some of these options include in-field service work, service and retail administrative assistance, warehousing, Internet solutions, website development, or marketing.
• This is a small company and many roles have crossover needs; duties are not limited to this list and will be assigned as needed. We foster an environment where if one area is overloaded at a certain time, others are able to step in however they can, to help everyone's jobs be easier.

Skills & Qualifications

• This is an entry-level position, great for a Spring/Summer job for high school & College students. We will provide all training needed.
• Priority will be given to applicants who are able to work at least part time in the months of April and May. Part or full time hours are available over the Summer, as well.
• Willingness to work within a team setting
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Mid-level computer experience, including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Outlook.
• Proficiency in English
• General Math skills
• A friendly and energetic personality with customer service focus
• Ability to perform under pressure and address complaints in a timely manner
• Ability to multi-task
• Detail Oriented
• Self-starter, someone who finds ambition to succeed from within themselves

Requirements

• Willingness to work some evenings until 6:30pm and Saturday and/or Sunday.
• Hours can be flexible. Store hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday from 10am - 6pm, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday from 9am-4pm, and Sundays starting in May from 10am-3pm.
• Ability and willingness to use a lift to reach products (no fear of heights)
• Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs

Premier Pools is a small business that continues to grow year after year. Our retail store sells chemicals, cleaners, toys, etc. to our walk-in customers. Our showroom displays all of our products for sale including YETI products, Pentair, Hayward, and Zodiac/Polaris Pool Products, BioGuard Chemicals, and Arctic Spas.
