Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Family Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. As a Family Nurse Practitioner, you will provide comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages, promoting health and wellness within the community. Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history review and physical examinations
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, injuries, and common medical conditions
- Develop and implement patient care plans, including prescribing medications and treatments
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as laboratory work, medical imaging, and sonography
- Provide counseling on health promotion, disease prevention, and lifestyle modifications
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical documentation in electronic health records (EHR)
- Educate patients and their families about their healthcare needs and treatment options
- Stay current with advancements in medical knowledge and technology through continuing education
Qualifications:
- Valid certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) from an accredited program
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN)
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and pathophysiology
- Proficiency in performing various medical procedures, such as suturing, wound care, and botulinum toxin treatment
- Familiarity with workers compensation laws and pain management techniques
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating within a multidisciplinary team environment
