Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable IT Support Specialist. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional technical support to the company, ensuring that all IT-related issues are resolved efficiently and effectively. This role requires strong communication skills and a solid understanding of computer management, desktop support, and various IT tools.
This is a full-time permanent role which requires on-site presence 5 days per week (Mon-Fri), with occasional off-hours or on-call as needed. No remote.
Local candidates within commutable distance to the office preferred. No relo.
Candidates must have proven experience in providing technical support or IT support in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Candidates must be authorized to work in the US for any employer (US Citizen or Permanent Resident Green Card Holders only). No Sponsorships, Student Visas or Work Visas.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for hardware and software issues across the organization.
- Troubleshoot and resolve user issues related to Windows operating systems and applications.
- Manage and maintain computer hardware, ensuring all devices are functioning optimally.
- Track incidents and requests, ensuring timely resolution.
- Assist in the setup and configuration of new computers and peripherals for users.
- Communicate effectively with users to understand their IT needs and provide solutions.
- Document processes, procedures, and solutions for future reference.
- Collaborate with other IT team members to improve service delivery and user satisfaction.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in the IT field.
- 5 years of proven experience in providing technical support or IT support in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and desktop support practices.
- Familiarity with IT service management tools.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Experience with: Troubleshooting PCs, printers, and handheld scanners, Windows client/server management, Active Directory, and DNS, LAN technologies (TCP/IP, VLANs, Ubiquiti/Aruba networks), Internet security (VPN, Fortinet firewall, antivirus, network monitoring), Virtual client support (Citrix) and ESXi,
- M365 administration experience, including Office Suite, Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, and Entra ID.
- Experience in computer hardware troubleshooting and management.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Candidates must be able to reliably commute to the office Mon-Fri.
