Overview
We are seeking a skilled PLC/SCADA Programmer skilled in building automation controls, specifically in facilities HVAC controls. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial automation and control systems, with the ability to design, program, and maintain PLC systems. This role is critical in ensuring the efficiency and reliability of our manufacturing processes through effective programming and troubleshooting of automated systems.
Duties
- Develop, test, and implement PLC programs for various industrial applications.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to fabricate and modify control panels and schematics as needed.
- Maintain existing PLC systems, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.
- Troubleshoot issues related to CNC machinery and other automated equipment.
- Utilize tools such as Ohmmeters for testing electrical components and systems.
- Work with Distributed Control Systems (DCS) to enhance process control capabilities.
- Implement and maintain Vision Inspection Systems for quality assurance in production processes.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards while working with low voltage electrical systems.
Skills
- Proficient in programming PLCs with a strong understanding of industrial automation principles.
- Experience as an industrial electrician is highly desirable.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation.
- Strong skills in industrial HVAC maintenance, particularly in troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of vision inspection systems and their integration into manufacturing processes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
Requirements
- Highly proficient in HVAC operations, with a strong understanding of DDC or special systems.
- Inductive Automation Ignition SCADA Core Certification (Gold Certification preferred.)
- Experience with Perspective and Vision development, integrating Ignition with PLCs, Modbus, and Bacnet for control and reporting. Experience in Python development, including Ignition’s Expression Language. Understanding of BAS controls and Process Plant controls.
- Experience with configuring and debugging computer and networking problems.
- Experience with troubleshooting electric circuitry, AC power circuitry, breakers, multi-phase power, 120VAC and higher.
- Previous experience with Rockwell Studio 5000.
- Bachelor's Degree in Systems Engineering, Control Engineering, Computer Science or similar is highly preferred.
- Candidates must be skilled in building automation controls, specifically in facilities HVAC controls.
- Candidates must be authorized to work for any US employer - No Sponsorships.
