Life Enrichment Director

Job Description
The Life Enrichment Director is responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing programs and activities that promote the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of residents in a senior living community. The Director will work closely with other staff members to create a vibrant and engaging environment that encourages socialization, learning, and personal growth.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive life enrichment program that meets the needs and interests of residents.
- Coordinate and schedule activities, events, and outings.
- Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers and staff members.
- Manage the life enrichment budget and ensure that all activities are cost-effective.
- Collaborate with other departments to integrate life enrichment activities into the overall care plan for residents.
- Assess the effectiveness of programs and make adjustments as needed.
- Ensure that all activities are safe, appropriate, and comply with regulatory requirements.
- Communicate regularly with residents and their families to gather feedback and suggestions for improvement.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of all life enrichment activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in recreation therapy, gerontology, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in planning and implementing life enrichment programs for seniors
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to senior living communities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software
