The Experienced Recruiting Specialist will be assigned to Premier Service Company but will solely recruit for Skill Trades of West Alabama. The position will be responsible for partnering with STOWA leadership to select qualified candidates for interviews, onboarding, background checks, and hiring. The essential job duties of this role are the following:

Here's What We Offer
The Experienced Recruiting Specialist will be assigned to Premier Service Company but will solely recruit for Skill Trades of West Alabama. The position will be responsible for partnering with STOWA leadership to select qualified candidates for interviews, onboarding, background checks, and hiring. The essential job duties of this role are the following:
- Consult with the leadership team to determine the competencies required to perform the jobs.
- Proactively source candidates utilizing multiple tools including but not limited to job boards, social media, referrals, etc.
- Manage the applicant tracking software to ensure it is being optimized and to manage timely communication with candidates.
- Utilize best practices to optimize our interviewing/hiring process.
- Utilize best practices to optimize our new hire onboarding process.
- o Develop a New Hire File
- o Administer Drug Screening
- o Run Background and Motor Vehicle Reporting
- o Complete New Hire Checklist-PPE, T-shirts, Phones, etc.
- Proactively seek out ideas to reduce employee turnover.
- Keep the leadership team abreast of the status of open requisitions and candidates who are moving through the hiring process.
- Develop strong working relationships with the hiring managers to ensure alignment in the recruiting/hiring process.
- Develop relationships in the community and schools to reinforce the company’s reputation as an employer of choice.
- Assist with benefits for current employees as well as new employees.
- Assist in the development of job descriptions
- o Assist in the development/revision of company rules, regulations, policies, etc.
- Be available for additional duties as assigned.

- 3-5 years of experience in Recruiting or Human Resources related field
- 3-5 years’ management experience is preferred
- AA/BA in Business or related fields is preferred but not required
- State-issued driver’s license required
- SHRM/PHR certification is preferred
- Valid Driver’s License to include active liability insurance
- Successful completion of required criminal record and motor vehicle record background checks
- Ability to pass a drug screening
- Ability to effectively communicate with staff, management and clients
- Ability to interact with others with positive professionalism
- Ability to accurately read and understand technical instructions
- Ability to stand for extended time (Career Fair Events)
- Ability to lift and/or carry 20 pounds
