Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction estimating, project management, and cost control. This role is crucial in ensuring that our projects are accurately priced and managed from inception to completion. The Estimator will work closely with project managers, contractors, and clients to provide precise estimates that align with project goals.
Duties
- Analyze blueprints and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates for construction projects.
- Collaborate with project management teams to develop comprehensive project plans and budgets.
- Utilize software tools such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid for efficient estimating processes.
- Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and gather necessary data for accurate estimates.
- Monitor and control costs throughout the project lifecycle to ensure adherence to budget constraints.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for stakeholders outlining estimates, contracts, and potential risks.
- Maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing for materials and services.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in construction management.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction estimating or a related field is essential.
- Strong understanding of construction site operations and project management principles.
- Proficiency in construction estimating software such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid is preferred.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets related to costs and pricing.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members, clients, and subcontractors.
