What are the responsibilities and job description for the Utility Inspector - Environmental position at Premier Services?
Seeking an environmental inspector for the Gulf region. The service area will include Escambia, Santa Rosa and surrounding areas. The position will primarily be field-based, but will also require some time in an office setting.
Key responsibilities include: (1) providing ongoing support to ensure the accuracy of Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure Plans (SPCC) and related engineering drawings, (2) identifying and categorizing leaks from oil-filled equipment, (3) assessing the condition of and participating in the ongoing upkeep of spill containment and absorbent materials, (4) providing photos and technical data for new equipment and battery systems, (5) providing oversight for oil-filled equipment pump-downs, (6) assessing the condition of on-site security features, lighting, and identifying housekeeping issues, (7) participating in corporate audits, and (8) providing quarterly SPCC training.
A working knowledge of Microsoft Office and the ability to use an iPad are essential for this position, as is the ability to work closely and get along with other field personnel. This is a true environmental field position where you will get your hands dirty but also need to be able to think on your feet. The successful candidate must be detail-oriented and have the ability to work with a high degree of autonomy.
