Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Patient Care Coordinator to join our healthcare team. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and experience in a medical or dental office setting.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, addressing inquiries and providing information regarding services and procedures.
- Schedule appointments, follow-up visits, and coordinate referrals to specialists as needed.
- Maintain accurate patient records, ensuring all information is up-to-date and compliant with privacy regulations.
- Assist with insurance verification and processing, including obtaining pre-authorizations when necessary.
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality care delivery.
- Educate patients about treatment plans, procedures, and office policies.
- Manage office supplies and inventory to ensure the clinic operates smoothly.
- Handle billing inquiries and assist patients with payment processes.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in medical administrative support or a similar role within a dental or medical office is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical terminology is essential for effective communication with healthcare professionals and patients.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with patients, families, and staff members.
- Proficiency in using office software and electronic health record systems is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
