Job Title: Course Developer
Location: 3 in office days in Tualatin
Job Summary: The Course Developer will be responsible for creating, developing, and maintaining educational content and training programs related to semiconductor technology. This role requires a deep understanding of the semiconductor industry, excellent instructional design skills, and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into engaging and effective learning materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Revise and update instructor led training materials based on instructor feedback.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather and verify course content.
- Verify lists of procedures (PBETs) for VR training, confirming that the list is complete, matches the tool configuration, and includes procedures that need to be performed before, after, or during the listed procedures.
- Create tool certifications.
- Design and develop comprehensive maintenance courses for field service personnel on semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
- Utilize instructional design principles to create engaging and interactive training modules, including e-learning, instructor-led training, and blended learning formats.
- Develop or revise assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and learner comprehension.
- Continuously update and improve course content to reflect the latest industry advancements and best practices.
- Stay current with trends and advancements in semiconductor technology and educational methodologies.
Qualifications:
· Demonstrated ability to master technical content in work experience, coursework, or even hobbies (ie. DIY car or household maintenance.)
· Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required(ideally in STEM fields, Education, Technical Writing or Communications).
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Demonstrated ability to learn new software. We use Storyline, but if you’ve worked with something that is similar or harder, that shows you will be able to learn it.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, accurate, and concise learning materials
- Ability to work effectively with subject matter experts.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high-quality, accurate, educational materials that follow a style guide for a consistent student and instructor experience globally.
Preferred Skills:
- Proven experience in instructional design and course development OR experience in technical communications.
- Strong understanding of semiconductor processes, technologies, and industry standards, with a technical focus.
- Proficiency with e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate) and learning management systems (LMS).
- Experience with multimedia production and editing tools.
- 5 years in training and/or course development.
- Familiarity with instructional design models such as ADDIE, SAM, or PBET.
- Previous experience in a semiconductor manufacturing environment.
Additional Responsibilities and Expectations:
- Translate employee technical training and development needs into engaging courses.

Mandatory Skills:
- Proficiency with Microsoft PPT, Excel, and Word. (PowerPoint and excel should be highly proficiency).

- Photo editing, animation creation, Visio, video editing.
