Lead the design, development, and delivery of lighting components as required to execute Rivian's vehicle development , technical issue resolution and program Engineering deliverables for sub- components. Coordinate, support and / or create 3D designs to package sub-components into vehicle's (DFM) (DFA) and Design for Manufacturing (DFM) documents for design (DVP&R) team to validate (DFMEAs).Develop continuous design improvement , as well as internal (part timing, part maturity, release status, validation status, etc.) as required by Program Team.10 years of experience in related component design, release, and industrialization (Body Lighting components).Advanced CAD knowledge; CATIA V5 / V6 strongly preferredDetailed knowledge of relevant manufacturing techniques / processes for both low- and high-volume productionExperience in DFMEA, DVP&R and PFMEAKnowledge of an automotive design and development process, system requirements, and general engineering best practicesNice to Have Managing BOM content attributes in PLM / SAP systems (ENOVIA direct experience preferred)Managing BOM variants and facilitating part revisions through approval and implementation processesWorking with Manufacturing teams and suppliers to understand and implement DFA / DFM learnings
