Slack Engineer
Qualifications
Must-Have:
- 2 years of hands-on experience managing Slack Enterprise and SaaS tools.
- Slack Admin or Slack Developer Certification (or ability to obtain).
- Strong development skills in JavaScript, Python, and Postman for integration and automation.
- Experience supporting and integrating SaaS tools such as M365, Zoom, Jira, Confluence, Lucidchart, and Lucid Spark.
- Understanding of SDLC, ITIL, and Agile frameworks.
- Experience with Google Apps and PowerShell for additional automation capabilities.
- Previous experience in a Slack Engineer or Collaboration Engineer role.
- Familiarity with Atlassian product administration.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree required (Computer Science, IT, or related field preferred)
Responsibilities
- Own, monitor, and manage Slack escalation queues via ServiceNow.
- Provide technical support and escalation for Slack-related issues.
- Support and maintain Slack Enterprise Environment and custom Slack applications while ensuring compliance
- Develop and enforce Slack workflows, forms, and automation.
- Identify and address gaps between current and desired Slack collaboration states.
- Document technical solutions in knowledge base articles for end users and service desk teams.
- Conduct ad-hoc training sessions and demos on Slack, custom Slack apps, and workflow automation.
- Collaborate across IT, Operations, and Engineering to enhance workplace productivity.
