Development & Validation Engineer – Automatic Transmissions
We are seeking a Development & Validation Engineer – Automatic Transmissions to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and validating transmission components and systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams, including transmission hardware, software, calibration, thermal management, engine, and driveline engineering.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and validate automatic transmission components and systems.
- Work closely with other engineering teams to ensure seamless integration.
- Lead system-level DFMEA development, DVPR, and Test Management execution to meet functional and durability goals.
- Conduct post-test reviews, including failure analysis and corrective actions.
- Support assembly plant activities to ensure smooth product launches.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in automatic transmission hardware, calibration, or controls development.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
- Highly motivated, self-directed, and capable of managing multiple complex projects.
- Ability to drive a vehicle as required.
- Onsite presence (3-5 days per week).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Engineering.
- Experience in transmission design, development, and testing.
- Knowledge of software, calibration, transmission efficiency, and thermal management.
- Strong understanding of transmission operation, including gears, clutches, and electrohydraulic components.
- Experience with vehicle or dynamometer transmission testing procedures.
