Nurse Practitioner - Community Health

Premier Staffing Source, Inc. is seeking Nurse Practitioner for a 3-month assignment in Brooklyn, NY.

Requirements and qualifications:

• Valid New York State Registered Professional Nurse license.

• New York State Education Department certification as a Nurse Practitioner.

• Excellent diagnostic and critical thinking skills.

• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

• Dedicated to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.

• Prior experience in Emergency medicine, adult-community health, or college-based health.

• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems.

Duties Include:

· Perform comprehensive physical exams and assess patients' health status.

· Diagnose conditions within the scope of practice and specialty area.

· Develop and prescribe personalized care plans, collaborating with licensed physicians on treatments and interventions.

· Prescribe or recommend medications, therapies, and other treatments as appropriate.

· Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to address clinical concerns and healthcare needs.

· Document physical findings, diagnostic results, and care plans in patient records.

· Lead disease prevention and health maintenance programs using available resources.

· Organize health fairs and educational initiatives to promote awareness of health issues and basic care.

· Oversee the communicable disease control program, including immunizations, TB testing, and follow-up care.

· Refer patients to physicians or specialized care as needed.

· Stay current on best practices within the specialty area.
