Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Stone Fabricator Apprentice to join our team. As an apprentice, you will work under the guidance of experienced stone fabricators to learn the skills and techniques required in the stone fabrication process. You will assist in the cutting, shaping, polishing, and installation of stone products, such as countertops, tiles, and custom stone features. Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation and handling of raw stone materials for fabrication.
• Support the stone fabrication team in measuring, cutting, shaping, and polishing stones.
• Learn to operate stone fabrication machinery and tools, such as saws, polishers, and grinders.
• Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure accuracy and perfection.
• Prepare templates for stone cutting and assist in material inventory management.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following all safety protocols.
• Assist with loading, unloading, and transporting materials to job sites as needed.
• Follow instructions from senior fabricators and learn the techniques to produce high-quality stone products.
• Assist with the installation of finished stone products at customer locations.
• Attend training sessions to develop skills in stone fabrication and masonry.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong interest in learning the stone fabrication craft.
• Basic understanding of hand tools and machinery (preferred, but not required).
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting heavy materials and standing for long periods.
• Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
• Ability to work well in a team and collaborate effectively with others.
• Strong attention to detail and a focus on quality.
• Willingness to learn and grow in the industry.

Preferred Skills:

• Previous experience in construction, stone working, or masonry (a plus but not required).
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
