Salary: $60,000
JOB SUMMARY:
Assist the Director in managing Halal certification operations, ensuring compliance and quality standards. Help develop service policies, supervise staff, collaborate across departments, and provide Halal training.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Oversee daily operations for Halal certification inquiries and Halal application processes (including contracts, reviews, audits, data entry, and certification) to maintain compliance and quality standards.
2. Develop and enhance service procedures, policies, and standards.
3. Supervise and evaluate associates, providing performance feedback.
4. Collaborate with other departments to identify opportunities for organizational improvement.
5. Provide training on Halal requirements and procedures to staff and clients.
6. Support management tasks related to the Halal quality system.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Comprehensive understanding and commitment to Islamic religious considerations, Halal standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field such as Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, etc.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Halal certification, food industry, auditing, management, and customer service.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to perform effectively under pressure.
- Experience working in a team environment and ability to provide leadership and supervision.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications and ability to utilize other software programs as needed
- Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
