The Service Technician is responsible for resolving IT customer service requests.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Incident Support - Provide resolution to incidents involving end user computing devices, software, output devices and other technologies. This includes troubleshooting basic network issues related to Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, printer servers, etc.
- Assigned Tasks - Complete tasks assigned related to the support and troubleshooting of desktop hardware/software, output devices, and other technologies. Maintain documentation.
- Project Support - Participate in projects related to desktop hardware/software, output devices, and store/field office technologies. Including hardware deployments. Coordinate with the other team members.
- Proactive Support - Engage customers, evaluate system and devices to prevent incidents related to desktop hardware/software.
- Travel around the Cedar Rapids, Iowa City area. Occasional travel to other cities in Iowa required.
Qualifications
- Sense of urgency, organizational skills, professional presence and team work
- Extensive skills related to the operation and troubleshooting of desktop systems and software.
- Skills related to Server, Windows Desktop & Network Troubleshooting
- Strong understanding of networks and equipment related to the networking of desktop and work-group devices.
- Outstanding customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs or heavier with assistance from another team member.
- Ability to move and disassemble technology devices.
- 2 years or similar requirements.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $26.00 per hour
