Summary

We are looking for a Painter who will be responsible for painting and coating surfaces equipment. This may include applying primers, sealers, and finishes to surfaces such as steel. Painters must be able to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the specific paint and coating requirements. They must also be able to use specialized tools, such as power sprayers and electrostatic applicators, to apply paint and coatings in a safe and timely manner. Painters must have excellent attention to detail and be able to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications:

• Direct to metal painting
• Familiar with Single Stage painting
• Knowledge of Epoxy Primer
• Familiar with HVCP, Electrostatic, Air-Assisted Spray Guns

Responsibilities:

• Prepare surfaces for painting
• Mix paints and other materials
• Apply coats of paint, varnish, sealer, and other finishes
• Calculate amounts of required materials
• Mix and match colors
• Calibrate and maintain painting equipment
• Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations
• Inspect and evaluate finished products
• Perform minor repairs

Physical requirements include the ability to:

• Greater than 90% of work is accomplished in paint booth.
• Performs physical activities that require considerable use of the arms, repetitive hand wrist motion, and legs and moving the whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, standing for long periods of time, and handling materials.
• May be exposed to loud sounds and distracting noise levels.
• May be asked to lift and carry up to 50- 70 pounds.

Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
