Warehouse Specialist Responsibilities:
- Print the RCCR report from DSDA daily to ensure the core returns done the previous day (from front/back counter) are accounted for in the dirty core storage area
- Investigate any cores in core storage areas that are not on your RDCI report – ie brought from drivers/OPS
- Credit cores that have not been credited based on proper core criteria
- Create RDCI and export report and record cores being returned
- Create VRTN in the CDK system (core return process)
- Consolidate, skid & ship cores daily (Except Thursday) to Woodbridge location
- Achieve & maintain dirty core percentage of 2.5%
- Manage core count monthly to reconcile physical core bank to RDCI
- CMOD report printed and reported on monthly & CMOD back-up maintained with reasons for core removals/additions
- Investigate core chargeback and ensure that customers are billed back for rejected cores & accounting is informed of cores charged back
- Responsible for learning core criteria to ensure that we are returning viable cores only
- Responsible for all communication to customers regarding core questions / issues
- Responsible for core quality approval for cash customers before we issue credits
- Print warranty report every Monday, remove parts from warranty shed & tag with appropriate paperwork
- Create RPA in Paragon
- Consolidate and skid warranty parts and ship to Woodbridge every Tuesday
- Manage warranty returns weekly – core & non-core and review every week the list of warranty parts that can be scrapped (non-core) & warranty parts with cores that can be shipped back with regular cores (follow regular core process)
- Maintain an organized and clean warranty parts inventory
- Ensure that all warranty parts in internal warranty area are tagged and stored in external warranty shed weekly
- Responsible for investing any chargebacks or missing warranty parts
- Run return report daily for returns taken the previous day
- Ensure that all returned parts are in saleable condition and located in their proper locations
- Locate any parts with NEW location if necessary
- Responsible for issuing credits for returns (other than front/back counter)
- Determine timeframe of original purchase and assess for restocking fees, incorrect parts returns (from other vendors) or non-returnable parts due to damaged packing or purchased over a year ago
- Co-ordinate larger returns with OPS, drivers or customers to ensure timely processing
- Manage any customer issues/inquiries in regards to returns or credits on returns
- Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization
- Report any discrepancies
- Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers
- Operate warehouse vehicles and equipment where needed
- Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations
Warehouse Specialist Requirements:
Education
A high school diploma and/or GED is required. Combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skill, and abilities.
Experience
- Minimum 2-years’ experience in a transportation, warehouse or supply chain environment
- Ability to walk up step-ladder while carrying parts
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Ability to handle multiple competing priorities
- Ability to learn new concepts
- Ability to adhere to deadlines
