The Service Technician III will be a key contributor to ensuring the quality of our rental fleet is maintained throughout its rental lifespan. Working together with our team, you will be responsible for performing diagnostics, repair, maintenance, and service work on a range of vehicles in our customized rental fleet.
COMPENSATION
This position offers a competitive compensation package, benchmarked to regional market standards, consisting of an hourly base pay plus the opportunity for quarterly profit sharing after one year of employment.

HOURS
Monday - Friday 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM ET
RESPONSIBILITES
- Perform repair, maintenance, and service work on rental fleet vehicles.
- Complete repair and maintenance tasks within set deadlines
- Understand recall and warranty information from OEMs.
- Utilize and read service manuals.
- Verify all repair and maintenance items are properly installed and complete workshop orders accurately.
- Understand PTR return, check-in, and QC inspection processes.
- Execute all quality and safety standards regarding repair and maintenance procedures.
- Perform electronic vehicle check-ins to capture all billable damages.
- Troubleshoot basic automotive mechanical and electrical problems.
- Prioritize safety, quality, and customer service.
- Escalate judgment calls to the department manager.
- Work with team members and department manager to improve repair and maintenance processes.
- 5S (Sort, Shine, Straighten, Standardize, Sustain): Implement and uphold 5S principles within the workspace to improve efficiency and organization.
REQUIREMENTS
- MUST HAVE
- 5 years of mechanical, hydraulic, fleet vehicles, and electrical automotive, heavy truck, or heavy equipment experience
- Proficiency in recall and warranty information from OEMs
- Expert skills in performing electronic vehicle check-ins to capture all billable damages
- Experience in properly utilizing OE diagnostic equipment
- Maintain a good driving record and be properly licensed
- Your own toolset capable of general automotive repair and diagnostics
- Proficiency in using a variety of hand, power, and diagnostic tools
- Flexibility and adaptability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in verifying all repairs, and maintenance items that are installed and completing workshop orders accurately
- Strong team player
- Ability to work both inside the shop environment and outdoors
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Basic written communication skills and proficiency in using a tablet
- NICE TO HAVE
- Ability to build and maintain good rapport with internal and external customers and handle situations with confidence, tact, and resourcefulness
- Ability to MIG weld steel and/or aluminum
- ASE certifications
- Manufacturer Training (Ford, GM, and Chrysler)
