The Taxonomy Specialist will be an integral part of our supply chain team and is responsible for managing and maintaining taxonomy and ensuring that attribute data is accurate throughout the product lifecycle. The ideal candidate will be a meticulous and detail-oriented partner with internal teams to establish and refine processes for adding, maintaining, and retiring products while effectively evolving the taxonomy structure and documentation to fit the needs of the business.
LOCATION
Fort Wayne, Indiana - Hybrid - 5% for onsite training possible
COMPENSATION
This position has a competitive compensation package that is a combination of base salary plus the potential for profit sharing paid quarterly after 1 year of employment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and maintain taxonomy structure and product classification which includes adding additional taxonomies, new categories, and attributes.
- Partner with internal teams to document and establish processes for product lifecycle management which includes:
- Adding new products
- Maintaining product attributes and data consistency
- Remove products from active listings while preserving historical data
- Ensure compliance with organizational standards for data integrity.
- Audit and refine existing product data to improve accuracy and usability.
- Create and manage documentation related to taxonomy and product lifecycle processes.
- Leverage Excel and other tools for data analysis, updates, and reporting.
REQUIREMENTS
- MUST HAVE
- 5-7 years’ experience in product lifecycle management, taxonomy maintenance, or catalog data management.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, with a focus on consistency and thoroughness.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (ex. pivot tables, v/x lookups, and data cleaning techniques).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and willingness to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks and priorities.

- Project Management Experience and/or Certification (PMP)
