REGIONAL MANAGER-NORTHEAST REGION
SUMMARY: Travels to and directs regional activities for organization and operations of load preparation services and special projects at multiple facilities by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include those set forth below and other duties as may be assigned by the Director of Operations.
Travel to multiple facilities nationwide to oversee the provision of load preparation services, the operation/maintenance of equipment and the coordination of local Company, customer and carrier relations. These shuttling and tarping/strapping operations are performed at manufacturing facilities and satellite warehouses that utilize 45–53-foot flatbed trailers, containers, and rail cars to transport products.
Oversees the hiring, training and management of personnel and equipment operation/maintenance and general operations at multiple facilities. Prepares all reports and communicates with Director of Operations and Home Office concerning facility operations in a timely manner. Must perform facility level management and/or operational activities when necessary and address all site-specific issues.
Oversees communications with Company, customer and carrier personnel to ensure coordination of operations at multiple facilities.
Provide replacement and back up support for other Regional Mangers operating within the business.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Primary duty is the management of facility managers for the Company’s load preparation business. Has the overall managerial responsibility over facility mangers and their employees and the operation/maintenance of equipment at multiple facilities and the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the Company’s services at those facilities. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Company's policies, procedures and applicable laws. Travels to facilities frequently to review operations and work at facility across all shifts as needed to address and deal with any issues in an effective and efficient manner. Prepares reports and facilitates communications between Director of Operations and facility managers.
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be willing to travel extensively and be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EXPERIENCE: Three or more years of experience in trucking or logistics. Must have ability to manage other employees, with strong interpersonal and communication skills. Truck driving and/or trailer shuttling and truck maintenance experience preferred. A Class A CDL license is required.

The employee should be able to perform all other duties of the local managers he/she is supervising. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for an extended period of time, walk, climb, talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee must be able to lift and/or move and secure a trailer tarp. Specific vision abilities required by this job include linear vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. The employee should have the ability to shuttle trailers in and around a tight spaced drop yard environment and tarp/strap trailers. This position requires the employee to be able to help with the tarping operation as needed ant train new associates to meet company standards.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may work inside or outside, frequently directs and is exposed to a trailer drop yard, moving equipment and varying temperatures/weather conditions. The environment is fast-paced and the noise level is usually moderate.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS. Frequent travel is required. The employee must be able to travel among facilities managed as often and stay at those locations as long as may be necessary to perform job functions while working across all local shifts.
