What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Assurance Specialist DDD position at Premiere Behavioral Supports, LLC?
The Quality Control Specialist acts under the supervision of the Director of Operations. This position will provide quality assurance services to all departments in Premiere Behavioral Supports. Responsibilities will include but not limited to ensuring the establishment and continuity of standards of operation for each department which meet or exceed those established by the agency along with the state standards, completing internal audits at all sites and generating audit reports with the findings, following up with concerns to ensure all results have been corrected, monitoring staff training and conduct training when needed. Quality Control Specialist responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Responsible for reading, knowing, and complying with all appropriate governing documents in the administration of all agency departments, be it contracts, agency policies and procedures, State or Federal standards, specific departments operations manuals, and circulars, both internal and external, and the like.
• Ensures compliance with the agency's Operations Manual, NJ Division of Developmental Disabilities Licensing Standards, Supports Program Policies and Procedure Manual, Community Care Waiver Policies and Procedure Manual, and all other relevant regulations.
• Ensures proper employee development and training, background and exclusion checks, auditing and fraud detection, incident and risk management, adherence to human rights standards and performance, and outcomes measurements for service improvement.
• Ensures Fraud, Waste, and Abuse is not a factor in payroll processing.
• Ensuring all departments comply with FFS guidelines and procedures.
• Knowledge of NJEIS.
• Responsible for identifying deficiencies in departmental systems and policies, addressing them accordingly, and ensuring they have been corrected.
• Provides direction, assistance, and intervention as needed to ensure efficient and effective departmental operations.
• Familiar with all Agency databases and monitor as needed.
• Knowledge of the Statewide Respite Program.
• Completes all reports, forms, schedules, and other documentation as required by the agency.
• Monitors all departments for implementation on an on-going basis.
• Ensures maintenance of accurate, complete, and relevant data for all departments.
• Maintains familiarity with all agency guidelines.
• Works flexible hours when needed for the benefit of the agency.
• Serves as a resource person for all quality assurance questions or issues for all departments.
• Provides a consistent means of relaying information to the Director of Operations as needed.
• Works cooperatively and collaboratively with all of the Department Directors and Supervisors in the best interest of the organization and those we serve.
• Follows up with the Director of Operations on citations that were found and not corrected promptly.
• Provide the monitoring to the Administration Departments' operational database and ensure the timely follow-through of work orders is being completed.
• Provides direction, assistance, and intervention as needed to ensure efficient and effective departmental operation.
• Monitors relevant staff training needs for all departments, providing training where applicable.
• Monitors all department databases and benefit time trackers for accuracy.
• Attends all required meetings as directed by the Director of Operations.
• Ensures the accuracy of files and record-keeping systems for all departments.
• Ensures that personnel records in all departments are up to date as per the state and federal standards and agency guidelines.
• Monitors and ensures that all departments are staffed in the manner set forth as per the state and federal standards and agency guidelines.
• Monitors all department staff files to ensure the agency complies with the state and federal standards and agency guidelines.
• Implements quality assurance to all departments to monitor program quality and contract compliance as well as suggest quality enhancements.
• Respects the confidential nature of all information regarding clients and families.
• Ensures that a client's dignity is not compromised in any way.
• Ensures that a safe and healthy environment is maintained for all clients at all times.
• Cooperates in completing unscheduled visits to all Departments to ensure the agency's Operations Manual, NJ Division of Developmental Disabilities Licensing Standards, and all other relevant regulations comply.
• Cooperates with the Licensee and any Department staff in any inspection or investigation.
• All staff are strongly encouraged to participate in any/all fundraising activities to any extent possible.
• Performs all other duties as assigned by the President or his/her designee.
