Premiere Petsitting and Dog Walking RVA (https://www.premierepetsitting.com), an established in-home pet sitting and dog walking service, has been serving pet owners for over 25 years. We are growing and enjoying more wonderful pets to care for.

Offerings for this position are primarily in the areas from Manakin Sabot, Short Pump and Wyndham, to Tuckahoe and Westhampton; zip codes (23201, 23233, 23294, 23229).

Opportunities vary daily in three basic categories:

1. Recurring dog walking at different times of day

2. Vacation and Travel visits to feed, play, walk, entertain, clean litter and feeding stations and love all pets in the following time frames:

7-11AM 11AM-3PM 4-9PM

3. Overnight House sitting in the following time frames:

10 hours 9PM-7AM 24 Hours

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns promptly.
• Care for pets by feeding, walking, and ensuring their overall well-being.
• Handle animals safely and effectively, utilizing proper restraint techniques when necessary.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for pets and homes in your care.
• Communicate with pet owners about their pets' needs and behaviors, ensuring a positive experience for both pets and owners.
• Maintain a professional behavior and attention to details to avoid injury or harm to yourself and the pets. Includes wearing proper, protective attire, and having experience or knowledge of prong collars, e-collars, gentle leaders, harnesses and leashes.

Expect to start with a few visits as a back up sitter. Visits will increase depending on your availability, flexibility and adaptability. On average, once you get established, schedules can range from 2-6 visits a day, with potential for up to 8 on holidays. Times and daily schedules vary depending on client schedules, needs and requests. Weekends and holiday availability are required.

Holidays include bonuses. Tips are not guaranteed or required; you know that providing exceptional service attracts tip rewards!

This contracted position is great for you if you are:

1. A self-employed person who is all about animals and their well-being, is self-disciplined, motivated, problem solver, and passionate about what they do.

2. Reliable, responsible and experienced in customer service and with dogs and cats. Know how to take charge and is not uncomfortable with big dogs or hissing cats!

3. Looking for supplemental income. Income is totally dependent on the number of visits requested, scheduled and completed.

4. Comfortable with a changing schedule and varied hours per week.

5. Consistently available for specific time frames (7-11am, 10-4pm, 1-6pm, 5-9pm, Overnights 9pm-7am), or consistently available for a varied and random schedule.

6. Available for either or both Thanksgiving Weekend or Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. REQUIRED

7. Reliable, uninterrupted transportation and a confirmed ready and reliable backup in case of car troubles, as visits cannot be missed.

8. Is interested in earning incentives for bringing on new clients and sitters.

9. Live in or adjacent to zip codes 23238, 23233, 23103, 23229, 23294 or willing to drive to those zip codes on a varying and random basis.

10. 18 years of age or older
