Position Overview
We are seeking a Service Manager to oversee the maintenance, repair, and service operations for construction equipment, turf and small to mid agriculture equipment. This supervisory-level role is responsible for managing a team of equipment technicians, ensuring timely and cost-effective repairs, and maintaining high standards of service quality and safety. The Service Manager will play a critical role in minimizing equipment downtime, improving service efficiency, and providing leadership to the service team.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management
- Supervise, train, and support equipment technicians, ensuring service work is completed efficiently and accurately.
- Assign work orders, set priorities, and monitor progress on equipment repairs and maintenance.
- Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting assistance to technicians as needed.
- Promote a safety-first culture, ensuring compliance with workplace and equipment safety standards.
Service Operations & Repair Management
- Oversee diagnosis, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical and electrical issues in machinery.
- Ensure timely preventative maintenance, inspections, and scheduled servicing of tractors, loaders, and other construction/farm equipment.
- Manage inventory of parts and supplies, coordinating with vendors to ensure availability.
- Maintain accurate service records, including repairs performed, parts used, and maintenance history.
- Work closely with farm operations and customers to prioritize service requests and minimize equipment downtime.
Process Improvement & Customer Service
- Implement best practices and process improvements to enhance service efficiency.
- Provide technical support and training to farm operators and customers on equipment use and maintenance.

Budget & Compliance Management
- Ensure all repairs and maintenance are performed within budget constraints.

Qualifications & Experience
- 5 years of experience in agricultural equipment repair and maintenance preferred.
- 2 years of supervisory or team leadership experience in a service environment.
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, engines, electrical systems, and welding.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical issues.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and regulatory standards for agricultural machinery.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with technicians, farm operators, and vendors.
