What are the responsibilities and job description for the Rack and Panel 1 or 2 position at Premise INC?
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Perform basic construction tasks such as racking and panel assembly, hand-digging trenches, backfilling, and material organization.
- Assist journeyworker tradespeople such as laborers, masons, and equipment operators.
- Load and unload construction materials, tools, and equipment.
- Prepare and clean construction sites by removing debris and hazardous materials.
- Mix, pour, and spread concrete and other construction materials.
- Erect and dismantle scaffolding, shoring, braces, and other temporary structures.
- Operate basic hand and power tools under supervision.
- Follow safety guidelines and wear personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Perform basic measurements and calculations.
- Receive and retain training and direction from your Foreman or Journeyworker.
- Follow directions and complete tasks assigned on time. Communicate any delays.
- Other duties as assigned.

- In addition to the above, other required qualifications for this role are:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment is a plus.
- Physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy objects and working in various weather conditions.
- Ability to adhere to safety standards and practices.
- Travel overnight to remote job sites up to 80% of the time
- Ability to lift to 50lbs or more

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, walk, lift, squat, push, pull, climb stairs, ladders, hear, see, reach, grasp and use hands and fingers to operate a telephone, power tools, and equipment. The employee must have the ability to occasionally lift more than 50 lbs.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is exposed to extreme weather conditions, including heat and cold, and wet or humid. The employee may work in high places, and/or work around moving mechanical parts, vehicles, and other equipment. The employee may also work in areas where the noise volume is loud and constant. The employee must have the ability to work overtime and to travel to remote job sites approximately 60 – 80% of their work week, which will include overnight stays.
