Field Technicians are expected to take direction and work side by side with Premise One Technicians, Lead Technicians, to successful completion of all projects.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Experience: 1 year of related experience and/or training desired.
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents, write correspondence, and communicate effectively with others and third parties, preferably, and sometimes exclusively, in English.
Mathematical Skills: Competent ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Competent ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Reasoning Ability: Competent ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions in situations where only limited standardizations exist.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Driving is a requirement for this position therefore A valid driver's license is required. The employee's motor vehicle record will be subject to the policies and provisions contained in the company's Fleet Safety Program.

Responsibilities and Duties:
- Be punctual for all scheduled shifts and meetings.
- Always maintain a professional and clean appearance appropriate for the scheduled work environment.
- Perform skilled technical work in the installation, maintenance, repair, modification, and testing of Security, Access Control, AV, and Infrastructure Cabling
- Ability to understand blueprints, schematics, and line diagrams.
- Understand troubleshooting philosophies and procedures.
- Record notes and pictures in support of daily progress reports.
- Installing support and pathway structures, ladder racks, j-hooks, cable trays, rack, cabinets, and fire penetrations.
- Organizing and dressing backbone, closets, and labeling schemes.
- Proficient at multiple cable terminations, jacks, patch panels, 66 and 110 blocks.
- Proficient in testing cable & fiber.
- 1 year of relevant experience in AV, Security, Access Control, or Infrastructure Cabling
- Must have basic hand tools to successfully perform a project.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Familiarity with industry tools and equipment
- Must have basic hand tools to successfully perform a project.
- Must be able to travel, as needed for assigned customer accounts.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Must possess at least a High School diploma or GED equivalency.
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and MS Project)
- Competent problem-solving ability with strong mathematical and communication skills

- Ability to handle physical workload as related to daily responsibilities.
