What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sonographer - Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility-Fertility position at Premium Health Center?

Premium Health’s Women’s Health practice is split into two divisions, OBGYN/MFM and REI. The REI unit is made up of a team of clinically renowned providers including two REI specialists and their medical teams. In addition, the REI unit houses an integrated fertility counseling program that aims to provide mental health support for patients who are engaged in fertility treatment. The team is comprised of Medical Assistants, Sonographers, Nurses and REI Specialists who are tight knit and collaborate closely on providing the care that is to our standards: Compassion, Agility, Respect, and Excellence.
This position sits in the REI unit and offers candidates the opportunity to provide pelvic/abdominal and transvaginal ultrasounds for woman undergoing fertility treatments, and requires the Sonographer to prepare ultrasound equipment and exam rooms. Ideal candidates will have excellent documentation and communication skills, be a team player and very detail-oriented, and adapt quickly to changes throughout their day while collaborating with clinical staff.

- Part Time, 6 hours per week.
- Sunday & Friday 7:45am-10:45am.
- Provide pelvic/abdominal and transvaginal ultrasounds for woman undergoing fertility treatments.
- Prepare ultrasound equipment and exam room ensuring proper sanitizing and cleaning procedures are followed.
- Demonstrate strong documentation skills and proper use of EMR.
- Documenting of all patient interactions.
- Provide compassionate care and emotional support to the patient.
- Cover holidays and Sundays as assigned.
- Adhere to the standards of care set forth by Premium Healthcare and provide quality and supportive care.
- Provide culturally sensitive care.
- Minimum 1-year fertility experience preferred.
- ARDMS certified.
- NYS ARDMS.
- Experience in fertility sonography preferred but not required.
- Exhibits outstanding technical proficiency and clinical perspective.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work both thoroughly and effectively.
- Experience with EMR preferred.
- Commensurate with experience and credentials, $38-$42 an hour.
