What are the responsibilities and job description for the Local cdl truck driver position at Premium Transport Staffing?
Hammond yard is looking for class A drivers for local deliveries, home daily. Drop and hook, No touch freight. You will be picking up and delivering trailers with pallets to customer facilities.
Must be open to working long hours. Must have a full year of Tractor Trailer driving experience to qualify for the position .
AUTOMATIC RESTRICTION IS OK.
- Complete paperwork at customer site verifying delivery and retrieval of pallets.
- Inspect truck for defects before and after trips. Submit reports after trips indicating truck conditions.
- Maintain driver log through ELD according to U.S. DOT (FMSCA) regulations in locations where required.
- Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50-75 pounds and adjust body position to bend, stoop, walk, turn, pivot and stand for entire shift of varying lengths in time
- Drop and hook, no touch freight, electronic logs, camera system in cab
Schedule : Monday to Friday; Start time is 7am. 50 hours weekly
Pay : $21.00 per hour
