Job Description
The Hardware Manager is responsible for ensuring the daily operations of the store run smoothly by supporting all store employees and handling administrative duties. Key responsibilities include:
- Setting an example by providing friendly, prompt, and efficient customer service.
- Creating a daily plan and instructing, assigning, and reviewing it with employees.
- Completing or overseeing ordering of products for designated areas.
- Maintaining a positive work environment by keeping a positive attitude, encouraging employees, and keeping work fun and flexible while also setting the example and following company standards.
- Assisting the store manager in recruiting, hiring, and training employees.
- Creating goals to meet the company standard gross margins.
- Potentially creating weekly work schedules for employees to ensure the success of the department.
- Conducting inventories and calculating retail pricing to ensure correct pricing.
- Planning displays, promotions, and future sales.
- Stocking and rotating product, practicing proper sanitation procedures, and completing required cleaning to maintain neat and clean work areas and displays.
- Ensuring the correct temperatures to guarantee product freshness and controlling shrink.
- Adhering to company policies and guidelines.
- Reporting to work when scheduled and on time.
