Qualified applicants must be 18 , hard workers, able to provide excellent customer service, work in a fast-paced environment, and a go-getter. Must be available to work evenings and weekends. Experience is preferred, but not required.
Job Description:
A Deli/Bakery Clerk is responsible for assisting customers with purchases in the deli/bakery department, along with cooking, serving, and baking. Duties may include assisting customers, stocking and rotating products, receiving, and preparing custom orders, checking product quality, slicing meats, and preparing warm meals.
Primary Duties:
- Provide friendly, prompt, and efficient customer service always.
- Stock and rotate product.
- Work with a team to ensure a pleasant work environment, and customer satisfaction.
- Handle food in a safe manner, preparing meals to fill hot case and cold cases.
- Take and fulfill customers’ orders at the Deli Hot Case.
- Cut deli meat and cheese for customers, as necessary.
- Prepare deli & bakery trays, for custom orders.
- Assist with occasional catering events.
- Rotate, and stock product.
- Wash dishes, as necessary.
- Baking with the potential to decorate cakes.
- Practice proper sanitation procedures and complete required cleaning to ensure work areas and displays are kept neat and clean.
- Adhere to company policies and guidelines.
- Report to work when scheduled and on time.
