Job Description:
The Deli/Bakery Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Deli/Bakery Department. Duties may include assisting customers, setting the example for department employees, stocking and rotating products, receiving, and preparing custom orders, slicing meat and cheese, ordering, taking inventory, and checking product quality.
Primary Duties:
- Provide friendly, prompt, and efficient customer service always.
- Stock and rotate product.
- Work with a team to ensure a pleasant work environment, and customer satisfaction.
- Handle food in a safe manner, preparing meals to fill hot case and cold cases.
- Take and fulfill customers’ orders at the Deli Hot Case.
- Cut deli meat and cheese for customers, as necessary.
- Prepare deli & bakery trays, for custom orders.
- Assist with occasional catering events.
- Rotate, and stock product.
- Wash dishes, as necessary.
- Baking with the potential to decorate cakes.
- Practice proper sanitation procedures and complete required cleaning to ensure work areas and displays are kept neat and clean.
- Adhere to company policies and guidelines.
- Report to work when scheduled and on time.
