Job Description:
The Hardware Manager is responsible for ensuring the daily operations of the store run smoothly by supporting all store employees and handling administrative duties. Duties may include assisting customers, stocking and rotating products, receiving, and preparing custom orders, conducting department inventory, ordering product, working the cash register, recruiting, hiring, and training employees, create weekly work schedules for self and employees, and more.
Primary Duties:
- Set the example: provide friendly, prompt, and efficient customer service.
- Create a daily plan and instruct, assign, and review plan with employees.
- Complete or oversee ordering of products for designated areas.
- Create a positive work environment by keeping a positive attitude, encouraging employees, keeping work fun and flexible while also setting the example and following company standards.
- Help the store manager to recruit, hire, and train employees.
- Create goals to meet the company standard gross margins.
- Potential to create weekly work schedule for employees, to ensure success of department.
- Assist, and conduct inventories.
- Calculate retail pricing and ensure correct pricing.
- Plan displays, promotions, and future sales.
- Stock and rotate product.
- Practice proper sanitation procedures and complete required cleaning to ensure work areas and displays are kept neat and clean.
- Ensure the correct temperatures to guarantee product is kept fresh, and control shrink.
- Adhere to company policies and guidelines.
- Report to work when scheduled and on time.
