We're currently accepting applications for a part-time Meat Clerk/Cutter at our Centralia location. Qualified applicants must be hard workers, able to provide excellent customer service, work in a fast-paced environment, and a go-getter. Must be available to work some weekends. Experience is preferred, but not required. This is a part-time position, averaging 20-30 hours/week.
Job Description:
A Meat Clerk is responsible for assisting customers with purchases in the meat department, along with stocking and rotating products on display. Duties may include assisting customers, stocking products, portioning meat, wrapping meat, weighing product, labeling meat, displaying products, and checking product quality. With training, this position could have the opportunity to merge into the position of a Meat Cutter - learning to cut, trim, and prepare all varieties of meat.
Primary Duties:
- Provide friendly, prompt, and efficient customer service always.
- Stock cases and rotate product.
- Work with a team to ensure a pleasant work environment, and customer satisfaction.
- Cut, grind, tray, wrap, weigh, and label all varieties of meat – while operating tools safely.
- Practice proper sanitation procedures and complete required cleaning to ensure work areas and displays are kept neat and clean.
- Adhere to company policies and guidelines.
- Report to work when scheduled and on time.
