About your new role:
CNC Programmers create and proof all computer numeric control (CNC) programs for machining operations. In addition to setting up and operating CNC machinery.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Complete assigned Machine Build projects, creating and editing 2D and 3D CNC programs.
- Debug CNC programs, eliminating errors.
- Organize and document CNC project information.
- Set-up CNC equipment and run NC program while critiquing program operation and improving performance.
- Maintain and organize individual CNC files for storage.
- Assist in maintaining cutter library with parameters relating to specific cutters and materials.
- Assist in specifying special cutters as needed.
- Advise Machine Build Manager of problem areas in process flow.
- Attend and participate in training classes. Advise Machine Build Manager of areas where training may be provided or improved.
- Participate in scheduled maintenance program for the shop, maintaining machinery at peak performance.
- Assist in problem solving of NC programs, machine operation and repair, and notify Machine Build Manager of machine problems or concerns.
- Operate all Tool Room equipment as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Required)
- Minimum 3 years shop experience (Required)
- Proficient in 2D and 3D programming (Required)
- Knowledge of operating systems, miscellaneous and preparatory functions, wireframe drawing, file editing, surfacing, solids, post processors (Required)
- Ability to read blueprints (Required)
- Ability to work from blueprints, sketches, and verbal instructions (Required)
Your hours:
1st Shift : 7:00am - 3:30pm, Monday through Friday.
