What are the responsibilities and job description for the General Production - Night Shift position at Prentice?
Biewer Wisconsin Sawmill is looking to add a full-time General Production Associate to our team in Prentice, WI. This position will acquire problem-solving skills and the ability to use good judgment.
Schedule: (2nd Shift) M-Th: 2:30 pm - 12:30 am
Accountabilities:
- Consistently monitor the quality of lumber.
- Give breaks to various machine centers & fill in for anyone absent.
- Follow all Safety policies and procedures, including LOTO as needed.
- Troubleshoot issues and fix limited issues that may arise.
- Be able to run a variety of machine centers and equipment in the Sawmill.
- Assist yard truck drivers with trailers.
- Cleaning machinery and production area throughout shift when needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1-2 years experience in the lumber or manufacturing industry.
- Must be able to understand and respond to verbal and written instructions.
- Must be self-motivated and reliable.
- Ability to bend and lift 15 lbs and stand for 90% of a 10-hour shift.
- Ability to work well with others.
- Ability to work with minimal direct supervision.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in standardized situations.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
