Are you a detail-oriented, tech-savvy individual with a passion for sports? We are looking for motivated and reliable Scoreboard Operators to join our team! As a Scoreboard Operator, you’ll play a key role in helping fans experience the thrill of the game by keeping the score, time, and statistics up-to-date.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities: include, but are not limited to:
The primary tasks of this individual will be:
• Score/complete each game including runs, hits, balls, strikes, and outs
• Ensure each game runs smoothly at the field to which you are assigned.
• Act as the eyes and ears of the field, reporting any injuries or security needs immediately.
• Troubleshoot connectivity issues as they arise.
• All team members are to present themselves in a professional manner with teams, parents, players, scouts, college coaches, umpires, field crews, etc.
• Operate trackman equipment as necessary.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Ability to sit for long periods of time (2 hours or more).
• Ability to maintain focus.
• Prior knowledge of baseball rules and proper scoring.
Work Environment:
The work environment characteristics for this position is a baseball field. Work areas may be in outdoor or inside facilities, meaning weather elements may affect surroundings.
Work Hours:
Regular attendance is a necessary job function required for this position. Scheduled working hours vary depending on the season, program or event. Early mornings, late evenings, holidays, or weekends are times of need for this position. Hours per week may vary, most work weeks are less than 30 hours.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, team members are regularly required to sit, walk and stand; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands repetitively to handle and operate standard office equipment; reach with hands and arms; and lift up to 50 pounds.
