What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fullfilment Associate position at Prep Brothers?
If you're seeking employment with a rapidly expanding company and a team of amazing colleagues, continue reading—this opportunity might be perfect for you! We are currently searching for a Receiving Associate to join our team at Prep Brothers.
At Prep Brothers, we collaborate with third-party Amazon sellers and eCommerce store owners to ensure their customers receive the correct products in impeccable condition. Our responsibilities involve preparing, packaging, and shipping products. Depending on the situation, we may ship products to Amazon for fulfillment or directly to the buyer. Regardless, our primary objective is to meet and exceed customer expectations.
As a small but swiftly growing company, we have a presence in Billings, MT, with our primary warehouse located in the United States. Additionally, we operate internationally, with offices in the UK, Mexico, and Canada.
Although we are a smaller company, we provide fantastic employee perks, such as medical, dental, and vision benefits for full-time staff, weekends off, holiday pay, consistent weekly schedules, supportive management, and ample opportunities for personal and professional growth within the company.
While there are some less appealing aspects of the job, including standing on concrete floors and performing repetitive tasks, let's now discuss the role and your potential responsibilities if hired:
Your workday will commence at 8 AM. After arriving at your designated workstation, you'll sign in to the receiving tracker. Some packages from the previous day may require scanning and sorting. Every day, various carriers such as UPS, FedEx, USPS, OnTrac, and DHL will arrive. Your duties will involve greeting the drivers and assisting them in unloading the parcels onto a pallet. Once everything has been delivered, you will meticulously check in each item and conduct a comprehensive inspection.
During periods without incoming deliveries, you'll assist our prep team. As Amazon imposes specific guidelines for different types of products, you will handle a diverse range of items. Your tasks may include removing price tags, packaging products in poly bags or bubble wrap, and affixing Amazon barcode labels. Don't worry—we will thoroughly train you on all of Amazon's regulations.
Approximately 50% of your shift will involve moving around and lifting boxes, while the remaining 50% will require you to stand at your workstation. During downtime from receiving and prepping products, you will be responsible for tasks such as emptying trash and maintaining cleanliness and organization in your area.
To enjoy the job and excel in your performance, we have certain requirements for this position:
- Exceptional organizational skills are crucial. Meticulous attention to detail is essential as we must track every package from the moment it enters the building. Your organizational abilities will play a vital role in maintaining order.
- Proficiency in manual dexterity is highly valued. As you will be handling various stickers, price tags, poly bags, and tape, your ability to present products cleanly and professionally is of utmost importance, even if it means working at a slower pace.
- We want you to take pleasure in learning our procedures inside and out and comprehend the underlying rationale. While our processes are not overly complex, they involve multiple steps to ensure accuracy. Once you have mastered our methodology, we encourage you to suggest ways to enhance efficiency. We are always seeking improvements.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions based on available information are key attributes we seek. When faced with ambiguous situations, we expect you to determine sound solutions.
- Safety is paramount. We expect you to prioritize your well-being and maintain a safe and organized workspace.
Direct experience or previous warehouse work experience is not a requirement for this role. We will provide comprehensive training to equip you with the necessary skills. However, we do seek individuals who possess intelligence, energy, reliability, and a can-do attitude. Whenever you have questions, feel free to ask. You will not only receive answers but also learn how to find solutions independently in the future.
The initial pay rate is $16 per hour, and outstanding performance may lead to a pay increase after 90 days. The shift duration varies depending on our workload, typically spanning 6 to 8 hours per day, Monday through Friday. Rest assured, we are closed on weekends. During the first few weeks, you will have a mentor nearby to support you until you feel confident in your abilities. Most of your training will involve hands-on experience.
