The Warehouse Control System (WCS) Lead is responsible for overseeing and managing the implementation, configuration, and optimization of warehouse control systems to ensure efficient automation and integration with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS). This role requires technical expertise in WCS software, hardware integration, and strong problem-solving skills to support seamless warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities:
WCS Implementation & Maintenance:
Lead the design, development, and deployment of Warehouse Control Systems (WCS) to optimize warehouse automation.
Configure and integrate WCS with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP, and other logistics systems.
Ensure system performance, scalability, and uptime by proactively monitoring and maintaining the WCS platform.
System Optimization & Troubleshooting:
Analyze warehouse automation processes and identify areas for improvement.
Diagnose and resolve WCS-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime in operations.
Optimize the flow of data between WCS, WMS, and material handling equipment such as conveyors, sorters, and AS/RS systems.
Collaboration & Leadership:
Work closely with warehouse operations, IT, and engineering teams to align WCS functionality with business needs.
Lead cross-functional teams in WCS-related projects, ensuring timely execution and implementation.
Train and mentor team members on WCS functionalities and best practices
