We are seeking an experienced AS400 I-Series System Administrator to support applications and ensure seamless system performance. This role is responsible for system monitoring, troubleshooting, upgrades, and managing vendor relationships. The ideal candidate has a strong background in AS400/I-Series administration and application support.
Primary Responsibilities:
- System Monitoring & Maintenance: Oversee system performance and ensure effective, efficient operations.
- Troubleshooting & Reporting: Run and analyze reports to diagnose and resolve system issues.
- Upgrades & Projects: Assist in system upgrades, implementations, and project-driven enhancements.
- Incident Management & Support: Resolve system incidents, document resolutions, and provide ongoing support.
- Change Control & Documentation: Test and migrate changes to the production environment while maintaining proper documentation.
- Vendor Management: Maintain relationships with hardware and software vendors to ensure service reliability and support.
Key Qualifications & Skills:
- I-Series (AS400) Administration: Strong knowledge of system administration and troubleshooting.
- Banking Application Support: Experience supporting banking applications.
- Application Processes & Troubleshooting: Ability to analyze, identify, and resolve system-related issues.
- Patching & Updates: Experience managing application patches, updates, and ensuring system integrity.
