Overview
The national offices of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), based in Louisville Kentucky, serve with mid-councils, congregations, worshipping communities, and partner organizations to carry forth the mission of Jesus Christ. Position Purpose:
Provide overall program support for Presbyterian Disaster Assistance (PDA) International and Migration Accompaniment Ministry (MAM) grant administration including management of records, grant requests and reporting. This is a Part-Time role working up to 19.5 hours per week (non-benefits eligible). Open for remote work and applicants outside of Kentucky.
Roles and Responsibilities (list in order of priority):
1. Provide operational, administrative support and communication support for PDA and MAM International ministries. Including but not limited to the input data into grants database system and process PDA international and MAM International grant payments including communication with applicants, notification, payments, and follow-up with reporting.
2. Assist with information sharing and processes across PCUSA platforms, including the preparation of grant summary material and communications pieces.
3. Assists with collection and input of grant data and maintaining information for grant/funding reports, partners, and other PDA essential data.
4. Works closely with program staff to ensure timely receipt of data and that all deadlines are met.
5. Prepares invoices and processes grant reimbursements. Maintains records and proper tracking of grant payments and documentation.
6. Participate in the work and common life of CPJ. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Essential Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- 2-4 years of related and increasingly responsible administrative or office support experience. Experience working in a large, multiple-staff organization helpful.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Excellent writing and communication skills.
- Strong computer skills. Proficient with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft Outlook Calendar.
- Experience drafting/constructing correspondence; good grammatical and writing skills.
- Enjoys being busy and able to handle workload with grace.
- A pleasant personality with the ability to serve as a positive member of a team
- Able to multi-task and balance different, and sometimes conflicting, priorities and meet deadlines.
- Experience with meeting and event planning and coordination.
- Ability to learn Web Invoicing.
- A self-starter, with an ability to work independently and take initiative, as appropriate.
- A quick learner, with the ability to review, sort, and respond to numerous communications and emails on a daily basis.
- Proven ability to be accountable and to deliver excellence.
