- Supervise Lifestyle Coordinators and manage creative programming across all levels of care.
- Develop, organize, and evaluate the activities program.
- Promote enrichment through activities covering all seven dimensions of wellness: physical, intellectual, social, spiritual, emotional, environmental, and vocational.
- Plan and lead programs including evening, weekend, and holiday activities, intergenerational programs, and off-campus outings.
- Collaborate with the Life Enrichment Committee for resident involvement in program planning and execution.
- Oversee coordination of the Monthly Newsletter and communication platforms.
- Manage department expenses, budget requirements, and ensure fiscal responsibility.
- Mentor and supervise volunteers, providing training, recognition, and annual evaluations.
- Assist with special events, in-services, and emergency coverage.
- Oversee the decoration of the community for holidays and events, and manage departmental supplies.
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field: Recreation Therapy, Social Sciences, Gerontology, Fitness/Wellness, Art Therapy, Music Therapy or other healthcare related field.
- National Certified as an Activity Professional or Therapeutic Recreation Specialist
- Possess a varied background of skills/talents/interests: performing arts, arts & crafts, fitness/wellness, music, creative writing etc.
- 5 years of related and/or supervisory experience in Senior Living
- Advanced computer skills
- Valid South Carolina driver’s license
- Knowledge of the local area for volunteer recruitment, community partnerships and event planning.
