Foothills Retirement Community is seeking a highly skilled, experienced and compassionate Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this position, you will enjoy working with a passionate team to provide quality service for all residents, staff and visitors throughout our community.
What you will do:
The Maintenance Tech II will work closely with the facility management and staff by performing, coordinating, and supervising various aspects of general and preventive maintenance to protect and maintain buildings, equipment, utility and electrical systems.
Job duties also include the following, but not limited to:
- Perform general and preventative maintenance of all the Community’s facilities, equipment and tools.
- Maintain confidentiality by ensuring resident’s rights are protected and maintained at all times.
- Ensure proper maintenance and repair of all Community vehicles.
- Ensure proper storage and labeling of all chemicals, including paint.
- Maintain on-call status when scheduled and respond appropriately.
- Assist all departments within the Community as directed or requested.
- Maintain infection control standards and regulatory compliance for areas overseen by State and/or Federal government.
- Complete reports and records as required promptly and accurately.
- Participate in all aspects of the Community including but not limited to disaster preparedness teams, educational training, in-service meetings, annual training, and other trainings as assigned.
- Assist in fire protection drills to ensure appropriate responses across the Community.
- Assist with resident evacuations, if ever required.
- Ability to troubleshoot cause of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire alarm or irrigation problems and make appropriate basic repairs or respond to emergency calls as necessary
- Coordinate resident moves with resident and/or their families.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area at all times.

Requirements
Required Minimum Education, Experience and Skills:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 8 to 10 years of mechanical or maintenance experience
- HVAC and Universal EPA
- Basic knowledge of swimming pools and swimming pool maintenance.
- Ability to use blueprints, drawings, drafts, and schematics in trouble shooting electrical, HVAC, plumbing, structural, and equipment problems within the campus.
- Proficient with a wide array of carpentry, electrical and plumbing tools
- Thorough knowledge of SDS (Safety Data Sheets) and OSHA compliance.
- Proficient with MS Office Suite and/or similar technology
Preferred Education, Experience and Skills:
- Technical or Vocational Training in the fields of HVAC, Electrical and/or Plumbing
- CPO or higher certification
General Physical Requirements:
Employee is required to exert up to l00 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds frequently, and/or up to 25 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
