Presbyterian Communities of South Carolina (PCSC) is a not-for-profit faith based organization that owns and operates six life plan communities across the state and has been in business for over 60 years. Currently, Laurel Crest Retirement Community has a wonderful opportunity for a compassionate and dedicated Memory Support Care Partner to join our team. In this role, you will provide personalized care to our residents with memory impairments and help them maintain their dignity and independence. You will work collaboratively with our care team to ensure the safety and well-being of our residents.
This is a Full-time position from 3p-11 with alternating weekends required.
$1000 Sign On Bonus provided in increments for full-time employees. Shift differential given for 3p-11p also.
Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents with memory impairments
- Observe and report changes in residents' physical and mental health to nursing staff
- Help residents with mobility and transfers as needed
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding
- Participate in social and recreational activities with residents
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment for residents
- Timely administration of medications
- Following the residents care plan or service plan as an instruction guide for how to take care of that resident.

Requirements
What is good to have:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a caregiving role, preferably with memory support
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug test
- Successful completion of Medication Aide course and preferably with experience with memory support
