A Dynamic Therapy Setting
At Foothills Presbyterian Community, PTAs have the opportunity to work across multiple settings on the same campus, including:
- Short-Term Rehabilitation – Helping patients regain strength, mobility, and function following illness, injury, or surgery.
- Outpatient Therapy – Providing personalized treatment to help residents and community members maintain independence and quality of life.
- Residential & Memory Care Support – Collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to develop therapy programs that support ongoing mobility and function. This variety allows PTAs to build diverse skills, work with a range of patient needs, and expand their expertise in geriatric rehabilitation.

Your Role as a PTA
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered therapy to help seniors regain strength, mobility, and independence.
- Work alongside Physical Therapists and an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans.
- Deliver therapy in both short-term rehab and outpatient settings, allowing for a diverse and engaging caseload.

Requirements
- Education: Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant from an accredited program.
- Licensure: Current Physical Therapy Assistant license in South Carolina.
- Experience: Prior experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility or similar setting is a plus.
- Skills: Strong communication, time management, and critical thinking abilities.
